THERE IS more to discover about the Philippines than its beautiful beaches, and this month CNN explores what else this country has to offer in the 30-minute special, Destination Philippines. Among the highlights are Vulcan Point (which is an island, within a lake, on an island, within a lake, on an island) at Taal Volcano; the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta; the country’s first female-run craft brewery (it is in Palawan); the Philippine Tarsier Foundation in Bohol; and the limestone cliffs of Sagada. The Good Place on iflix

SUBSCRIPTION Video on Demand service iflix premieres the new comedy, The Good Place, with all 13 episodes of the first season are now available to stream or download for in the Philippines. The show follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell), an ordinary woman who enters the afterlife and, thanks to some kind of error, is sent to the Good Place instead of the Bad Place, which is definitely where she belongs. While hiding in plain sight from Michael (Ted Danson), the wise architect of the Good Place (who doesn’t know he’s made a mistake), she’s determined to shed her old way of living and discover the awesome (or, at least, the pretty good) person within. The service is priced at only P129 per month in the Philippines. For new subscribers, iflix offers a complimentary one-month trial with full access to its service, features and content.

Season finales at RTL CBS

ALL good things must come to an end and that includes the latest seasons of favorite TV shows. The first season of Bull -- about a psychologist’s involvement in trials -- is ending on May 24, 9 p.m. Season 5 of Elementary, a modern-day adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes starring Johnny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu, is on its last few episodes, airing every Wednesday 9:55 p.m. until June 3. Britain’s Got Talent Season 11 airs every Sunday at 9 p.m. until the final winner is chosen on June 5.

Top Chef Duels on Sony

SONY CHANNEL presents the new reality competition show Top Chef Duels which pits 18 winners, finalists, and fan favorites from the past seasons of Top Chef and Top Chef Masters in a culinary showdown. The show premieres on May 22, 7:55 p.m., and airs weeknights at that time. Hosted by celebrity chef Curtis Stone, the 10-episode series will also have celebrity judges actress Shailene Woodley, musician Pink, actor Adam Samberg, and many more. Jazz piano

SWISS JAZZ pianist Claude Diallo returns to the Philippines for a concert on May 25, 7 p.m., at the Alliance Française de Manille Multi-purpose Hall. Admission to the concert, presented by Alliance Française de Manille and the Embassy of Switzerland, is free. RJ Pinieda, a pianist from the Philippines, will take part in the show. Mr. Diallo has performed in the Philippines a couple of times in the recent past. He performed at the Philippines International Jazz Festival in Manila and also participated at the Jazz Festival in Bacolod. This time he returns without his group Claude Diallo Situation and will perform his solo piano repertoire.
